Starting as an online platform for unique travel recommendations from creative individuals, Exceptional ALIEN saw the need to make their content experience more travel- friendly and accessible with a mobile app.
As the Senior UI Designer, I contributed to the overall UI design process and worked closely with the UX designer working with their wireframes to create visual concepts and high fidelity design iterations across over 200 screens. Additionally, I was able to create a working prototype for user testing purposes, as well as generate a unifed component library as designs finalised.
Working in 4 blocks of 2 week sprints with a team consisting of UX designer, UI designer, project manager and developers.
PROBLEM DISCOVERY
Finding unique and trusted travel recommendations whilst travelling on the go can be challenging and time consuming. Sifting through thousands of recommendations online from multiple sources without having one place to easily save them all and refer back to is an overwhelming experience for many.
